Effects of Climate Change on Vegetation and Wildlife

There has been a need to enlighten people on the effects of climate change on vegetation and wildlife. What people do not understand is that there is an interrelationship between climate change and the effects it has on plants and animals. Plants highly depend on climate when it comes to their growth. Animals, specifically herbivores, highly depend on plants for their food. Animals that are carnivores highly depend on other animals. This then implies that climate change will greatly affect both vegetation and wildlife. There is a need to address the effects of climate change. This will ensure that the right steps can be taken when it comes to controlling and managing the effects that come with climate change.

Global warming has highly contributed to climate change. This is because the temperature has increased and become higher than it was before. This has had severe effects of prolonged drought periods being experienced in many parts of the world. The prolonged droughts tend to make most plants to dry up very quickly. This, in turn, will affect wildlife since the animals do not have enough food to eat. It is crucial to note that if there is not enough food, then animals do not give birth. This is because animals are instinctively designed to give birth to children only when food is in plenty. This then reduces the number of wildlife that is present in the world.

Deforestation is also another climate change that has highly contributed to climate change. Human beings have cleared a lot of land for developmental purposes. This clearing of land has led to a reduction in the forests that are very vital when it comes to controlling rainfall patterns. Forests play a big role when it comes to releasing water vapor, which is necessary for cloud formation. With more land being cleared for developmental purposes, this means that such areas are more likely to experience a dry climate. The dry climates and has adverse effects on the vegetation cover that will be present and directly affect wildlife who depend on it. In other parts of the continent, you will find that warmer Winters are forcing some animals to come into hibernation much earlier than their prey. This has then resulted in their starvation and death.

It then becomes important for human beings to fully care for the environment while addressing the issues regarding the effects of climate. Human beings should now accept the fact that they have destroyed the earth, and if they continue to do so, then it will lead to the end. This is because of the effects of climate continue at this rate, then there will be no vegetation. If no vegetation is present then there will be no wildlife. This will have a higher impact even in food production for human beings. Human beings must understand that further damage to the earth will only result in the extinction of all wildlife and unique plant species, which are reducing in number at a very high rate. It would only be fair to provide a better environment for our children so that they can also get to enjoy the earth just like you did.
